Two more days for print company strike

Workers at the Sunderland based print company, Paragon, have announced another two days of strikes. From July 24 to July 27, employees will strike over a dispute about terms and conditions.

"After seven years of pay freezes and now a major attack on terms and conditions our members have had enough. Unite members voted unanimously for strike action in June, and they have already taken two days of strike action. They are determined to stop this attack on their livelihoods. "

– Steve Sibbald, Unite

The company is trying to impose reductions to shifts and overtime premiums, despite an increase in profits last year.
