Keeping us on the road

Researchers at Newcastle University are studying how to keep motorists on the road into older age. They've looked at what older motorists find most stressful, such as bad weather, traffic or simply finding your destination.

The next step is to develop technology to address those problems.The first solution could be a special sat nav designed for older people, which would avoid dual carriageways and find the safest routes.
