Discovery of man's body in Eston Cemetery being treated as unexplained

Cleveland Police are treating the discovery of a man's body in a cemetery in Eston, North Yorkshire, as unexplained.

Police were called to Eston cemetery shortly after 2.50pm on Wednesday. The man's body was found on Normanby Road.

Crime scene investigators could be seen investigating the scene on Wednesday afternoon. Officers were also seen in the bushes and police cordons were set up.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Eston Cemetery on Normanby Road shortly after 2.50pm on Wednesday.

"Sadly on arrival, the body of a man was found at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained whilst enquires continue."

No details about the man have been released.

Eston Cemetery remained open during the investigation.
