Drizzle failed to dampen the generosity of people in Redcar as the town’s lifeboat day raised over £2700 for the RNLI.
The annual lifeboat day began with the two RNLI lifeboat on display in the High Street. The crew were helped in their fundraising by sea cadets from TS Zetland and the RNLI’s own mascot Stormy Stan, made an appearance.
The Redcar RNLI ladies guild had stalls in the High Street and in the lifeboat station.
Two Redcar lifeboats were joined by the town’s RNLI lifeguards and the Hartlepool lifeboat for a rescue demonstration.
