Star-studded line-up for South Tyneside comedy festival
South Tyneside Comedy Festival, based at The Customs House in South Shields, is coming back after its first year in 2016.
A line-up of stars and up-and-coming comedians will grace the venue over a period of 16 shows throughout July and August.
Festival director, writer and comedian Jason Cook and his Hebburn co-star, comedian Chris Ramsey, begin the festival on July 1st with Cook & Ramsey Mucking About.
The sell-out show will see the duo reunite on stage again following their double-act comic show last year.
Cook will also take to the stage with comedian Sarah Millican on Saturday, August 5, in the also sold-out Sarah and Jason Blether on for a Bit.
Rory Bremner will make his festival debut with Partly Political, trying to make sense of leaders such as Donald Trump, Boris Johnson and Brexit.
Other acts include comedy magician and TV regular Pete Firman, panel show stars Stephen K Amos, Ed Gamble, Jo Caulfield and Britain’s Got Talent act The Mimic Men.
Adam Rowe and Peter Brush, Canadian comedian Sean Collins and local acts including comedy duo Ray Spencer and Bob Stott, the Geordie Rat Pack, Carl Hutchinson and Steffen Peddie complete the bill.
