Ecstasy responsible for T in the Park teen death
The father of a teen who died at T in the Park festival has said she couldhave been spiked after an inquest heard ecstasy was responsible.
Megan Bell, from Seaham, County Durham, lost her life at the Scottish music festival on July 8 this year.
The inquest at Crook Civic Centre heard that the post-mortem examinationfound that the 17-year-old suffered the adverse effects ofmethylenedioxymethylamphetamine (MDMA), which is commonly known as ecstasy.
Megan's father, 44-year-old Chris Bell, spoke of his heartbreak after hearing the news.
The 44-year-old has also set up a petition to raise the age limit foryoungsters going to music festivals.
The authorities in Scotland are investigating the death at StrathallanCastle, in Perthshire.
County Durham and Darlington Coroner Andrew Tweddle adjourned the inquest until January 9.
