Newcastle assistant Pecchia to become Verona boss

Newcastle United first team coach Fabio Pecchia is leaving the club to become the manager of Italian side Hellas Verona.

The former Italy international worked as an assistant to Rafael Benitez at both Napoli and Real Madrid, and was made part of the Spaniard's backroom staff at the Magpies in March.

However, the 42-year-old will now become Luigi Delneri's replacement at Verona after the club were relegated to Serie B last season.
