Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust rated 'outstanding' by CQC

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust which runs four hospitals in the region has been rated as 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. The health watchdog say it is the best report they have ever produced for a hospital trust.

The North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham General Hospitals along with the new Cramlington Emergency Care Hospital were all given the highest rating for patient care.

Overall, the trust has been rated as Outstanding in respect of being caring, effective, responsiveness and well-led.
