Rare bird found shot in North Yorkshire

A rare bird of prey has been found with gunshot wounds. North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a large, adult, female red kite was found shot on March 25, at Low Marishes, north of Malton. It was still alive.

The bird has received medical attention and is being treated at a specialist rescue centre.
