Police reveal description of West Jesmond armed robbery suspects

Police have released information about two men they want to trace in relation to an armed robbery in West Jesmond this morning.

The two men were both wearing balaclavas and gloves. One was armed with a knife and the other a hand gun.

The first is described as being around 6ft tall and of slim build. The second man around 5ft8 to 5ft9ins tall and also of slim build.

They threatened a staff member in the shop before making off with clothing and cash. No one was injured during the incident.

A silver Hyundai i20 hatchback car fled the scene in the direction of Osborne Road.
