Armed robbery at clothes shop in West Jesmond

Police are currently responding to a report of an armed robbery at the Jules B shop on Acorn Road in Jesmond.

Police received a report that two men in balaclavas had entered the shop armed with knives at 9.30am on November 25.

They stole money and clothing before fleeing the scene in a small silver/blue hatchback towards Osborne Road.

No one has been injured and officers are at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to ring 101 ext 69191 quoting ref number 226.
