Howard Linskey's Newcastle gangster novel The drop is being adapted for TV.

Having being voted as one of theTop 5 Thrillers of the year by the times, the sequel has just been published. The Damage is also set in Newcastle and uncovers the world of contract killers and corrupt politicians.

Howard is originally from Ferryhill in County Durham. He is a former journalist who supports Newcastle United.

The Drop is being adapted for TV by Harry Potter producer, David Barron, and Hollywood screenwriter, JJ Connolly, author of Layer Cake.
