Several people are wounded by shooting in Libya's parliament building, a parliamentary spokesman has said.

Spokesman Omar Hmeidan said the gunmen, who stormed the building and forced the parliament to abandon a vote on the next Prime Minister, are allied to one of the defeated PM candidates.

Lawmakers were running away from the building, witnesses said.
