Britain win first medal in men's curling for 90 years

Britain have claimed silver in men's curling after losing to Canada 9-3 in the final in Sochi - their first in medal in the men's version of the sport for 90 years.

Men's curling team to collect Team GB's fourth medal

Team GB's curling men had to settle for silver after losing 9-3 to Canada in their Winter Olympics final in Sochi which ended with only eight of 10 ends completed. The all-Scottish team were looking to become the first men's curling team from GB to win gold for 90 years.

Second place confirmed that GB, with a fourth medal of the Games, have at least matched their medal haul from Chamonix 1924 and it was their second curling medal in Sochi after Eve Muirhead's women's team took bronze on Thursday.

Canada won the men's Olympic curling title for the third successive time. The Canadians have completed a golden curling double in Sochi after their women's team beat Sweden in Thursday's final. Sweden beat China earlier on Friday to win the men's bronze medal.
