Jessica Ennis: 'It's so nice to be back in my home city'

Olympic heptathlon gold medallist Jessica Ennis has arrived in Sheffield for her homecoming celebrations.

Before greeting thousands of fans that had gathered to welcome her home, Ennis told ITV News' Alastair Stewart: "It's so nice to be back in my home city, and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone".

She also said she was still "on a massive high" after her victory.

Thousands of people are expected to gather in Sheffield city centre later today for the homecoming of local girl and Olympic heptathlon gold medallist, Jessica Ennis.

The event will be a celebration of Jessica's victory and city leaders are asking those attending to bring or wear something gold in honour of her achievement.
