Two men - believed to be from the protest group Fathers for Justice - have been arrested after breaching security at Heathrow Airport.

The men breached the perimeter fence near the airport's northern runway at half past one this afternoon.

Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested and are being held in custody. An airport spokesperson said:

Police have confirmed two men have been arrested at Heathrow Airport following reports of a security breach on the northern runway.

Reports are emerging that flights have been disrupted at Heathrow Airport in London after trespassers were seen on a runway. Emergency vehicles have been scrambled to the scene.
