The University of Reading is now home to the largest tennis facility in the area, with courts suitable for playing all year round.

The new state-of-the-art TennisPark complex cost £850,000 and opens at the Whiteknights campus today.

The project was co-funded by the Lawn Tennis Association, who helped fit the courts to a professional standard.

It boasts five outdoor courts, which have all been resurfaced and fitted with floodlights and insulated domed courts that will be heated during the winter.

Coaching and memberships are available to staff and students, as well as to members of the public, who are also invited to enjoy the facility.

We are delighted to be able to support the University of Reading with the development of the TennisPark. There's already an extensive community coaching programme, good links with the local tennis club and an extensive student tennis programme. Investing in the facilities at the University ensures this programme will develop further.
