Gran's Grand Tour takes in Monaco in knitted car

Two drivers are on their way back from the casino at Monte Carlo, travelling in a second hand Vauxhall Astra that cost them just £200.

Pat Wilson and Jill Burford from Deal say they're determined to raise money for a good cause.

They took part in a fundraiser called Monte Carlo Madness, joining seven other teams on a four-day adventure to Monte Carlo and Back.

But the 'Grans on the Run' team's knitted motor was the one guaranteed to turn heads.

Tony Green met them before their departure. To date their fundraising page has raised nearly £6,000.
