Hawker Hurricane, shot down over Channel, is back in the air
Dunkirk is in the news at the moment - the latest Hollywood film has been praised for its portrayal of one of the decisive points of the war. The evacuation of more than 300,000 British troops from the advancing Nazis has long gripped the popular imagination.
One particular Hawker Hurricane was shot down over the French coast, plunged into the English Channel, but is now taking to skies again after a remarkable effort by an aviation enthusiast. Hannah Pettifer reports.
