Paddington Bear creator Michael Bond dies aged 91

It all started with a small teddy bear bought for his wife, but Paddington Bear grew to be Michael Bond's most famous character. Today his publishers announced that he has died at the age of 91.

The author grew up in Berkshire and he was educated at Presentation College in Reading.

Flowers are being laid by just some of Michael Bond's fans at Paddington station - where a statue sits in his honour. Natalie Boare looks back at his legacy.
