Police investigating racially aggravated assault at lido

Police are investigating a report of a racially aggravated assault at Hilsea Lido.

The 33-year-old victim was at the Lido’s splash paddling pool with her husband and 4-year-old daughter when the incident happened at about 2.40pm on the 3rd of June.

It's alleged the woman was racially abused, shoved and slapped, after she asked another woman to stop her son upsetting the victim’s daughter.

The suspect was described as:

White, Late 30s, Pale complexion, Green / blue eyes, Bleach-dyed hair, Slightly overweight. She was described as wearing denim, knee-length shorts and a dark-blue vest top. There were lots of families at the Lido at the time who may have witnessed the incident and are appealing for them to contact us.
