Police confirm body found in supermarket car park

A man's body has been found in a supermarket car park. Hampshire Police were called to the ASDA on Maynard Road in Totton at about 2.20am this morning. A section of the car park has been closed off for forensic examinations to take place.

The shop has opened as usual - and customers can still access the car park outside of the cordon.

The death is being treated as unexplained. The police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death continues.
