A27 reopened at Lewes after waste fire

The A27 is now reopened at Lewes after a fire at a recycling plant.

Around 40 firefighters were sent to the blaze at Greystone Quarry in Southerham just after 7pm yesterday where 200 tonnes of scrap metal was alight.

Drivers are advised to keep windows closed when passing the scene.
