Man's body found in stream near Christchurch carpark

The body of a man has been found in a stream in Christchurch.

At 1.04pm today, Dorset Police was made aware of the discovery near the Saxon Square carpark.

The body is believed to be that of missing Steve Grey, who was 51 and from Sark in the Channel Islands.

He had travelled from Guernsey to Poole on a planned trip on 27 March 2017. Since then, he had been staying in hotels but not been seen or heard from since Saturday 8 April.

The coroner has been informed but formal identification has not yet taken place.
