Memorial for the victims of the Shoreham air disaster

A tribute will be created in memory of the eleven men who lost their lives in the Shoreham air disaster nearly 3 years ago.

Adur District Council, working alongside families of the victims have commissioned a series of memorial sculptures which will be installed along the banks of the River Adur.

On 22 August 2015 a Hawker Hunter jet performing aerobatic manoeuvres during the Shoreham Air show crashed onto the A27 in Sussex, killing 11 men and injuring 13 others including the pilot.

The total cost of the project will be around £180,000 of which £25,000 will be from the council and the rest through donations from local authorities, businesses and individuals.
