Two drug dealers have been jailed after cocaine and heroin was found at an address in Gillingham, Kent.

A bag containing 20 small packets of the drugs was hidden in the guttering of an address in Gillingham Road in May 2015.

The property was the home of 22 year old Devon Hill, who was in the bedroom at the time, along with 23 year old Adetayo Adelekan of Orsett Street in Kennington, London.

Both of the men were arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Mobile phones and SIM cards as well as £1,805 in cash was also found at the address.

Hill was jailed for four years and 10 months and Adelekan, who was also found guilty of possessing a bladed object, was sentenced to six years and five months.

The search was part of an investigation by Kent Police's anti-gangs initiative Operation Jupiter.

This is another good result for Operation Jupiter, but most importantly for the communities whose lives are blighted by the presence of drug dealers."

"We will continue to tackle those who commit such offences and hope our action to date sends a clear message that drug-dealing will not be tolerated in Kent."

"I strongly encourage anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious to report it to us as soon as possible. You are our eyes and ears, and the information you provide is invaluable in cracking down on drug-related crime."
