Solent NHS Trust is asked to improve by the CQC

Care quality Commission calls for improvement of Solent NHS Trust Credit: ITV News

England’s Chief Inspector of Hospitals has rated the services provided by Solent NHS Trust as 'Requires Improvement' following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission.

A number of improvements were named, including the need for all patient records to be completed and for staff to have access to electronic patient records when required.

However Inspectors recognised the good work undertaken by the Trust including the Community mental health services they provide for people with learning disabilities.

The leadership of the trust have told us they have listened to our inspectors’ findings and we are confident that the staff will work to deliver these improvements on behalf of their patients.
