Police believe a war horse statue in Romsey has been damaged by vandals.

The foot and stirrup of the £86,000 bronze resin statue have been broken off.

Designed by Amy Goodman, the sculpture is a tribute to the mounted unit based in the area during World War One.

The statue in War Memorial Park was only unveiled by Princess Anne last year and will be assessed for repairs later today.
