Bus crashes into house injuring driver

The driver of a bus is in hospital after his vehicle crashed into a house in Dartford.

Firefighters were called to Gore Road at 8.30pm on Saturday evening, after the collision involving a single decker bus.

Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment and small tools to release the driver into the passenger compartment.

He was then placed on a spinal longboard and assessed by the HEMS team and removed to hospital.

The collision also damaged two cars and a garden wall.

There were no passengers on board the bus at the time and fire crews left the scene at around 9.15pm.

The cause is being investigated
