Donations pour in for homeless woman after she foils robbery
A fund has been set up to help a homeless woman who foiled a robbery at an Oxford beauty shop.
The young woman, called Lottie, confronted an intruder at the Lush store in Cornmarket Street following a raid.
Staff discovered that a laptop and cosmetics had disappeared when they opened the shop on Wednesday.
But the following day, Lottie, who sleeps rough outside the store with her dog Marley, returned the goods, explaining they'd been dumped by the man she confronted, after she spotted him acting suspiciously.
Staff at Lush were so grateful that they've set up a fundraising page to thank Lottie for her courage.
They posted the full story on their Facebook page:
Thames Valley Police confirmed they were called to an attempted burglary in the early hours of February 10th
There were reports that goods and a laptop had been taken, which were then reportedly returned by a member of the public.
A JustGiving page has so far raised £1300 for both Lottie and homeless projects in the city.
