250 tonnes of straw destroyed in barn fire in Kent

Kent Fire and Rescue Service are tackling a large barn fire in Goodnestone near Canterbury.

Fire officers say when they arrived in the early hours of this morning, an open sided barn with a corrugated roof, measuring 30 metres by 8 metres, was alight with around 250 tonnes of baled straw in flames.

At this stage it's not known how the fire was started.
