Results from constituencies across the South and South East have come into the Meridian newsroom overnight and through the morning. The Conservatives have won an absolute majority nationwide. David Cameron remains Prime Minister.
Nicola Blackwood has won a second term as MP for the Oxford West And Abingdon seat. In her winning speech she thanked the 'activists who had visited doorsteps and put up posters on her behalf. She also thanked the voters for putting their trust in her and pledged to continue campaigning for local issues.
