High winds causes chaos for cruise ferry
Cruise ships based in Southampton are being delayed because of the bad weather and high winds of up to 50 knots this afternoon.
P & O ferries have said they are unable to move Oriana to a terminal where passengers can safely embark today so the ship will be delayed by 24 hours.
Passengers will receive a refund of 50% of the price of their holiday and those on the current sailing will remain on board until later tonight or tomorrow.
P&O Ferries have said: "We sincerely apologise for the delay and disruption."
