Body found at Beachy Head believed to be missing Surrey man

A body has been found in the search for a missing man from the Ewell area of Surrey.

The body of a man was found around 12pm on Saturday, 20 September at the base of cliffs at Beachy Head.

Although the body has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Desmond Carr.

The 55-year-old was last seen around 5pm on Thursday, 18 September.

His next of kin have been made aware of the discovery of the body.

At this time the death is being treated as unexplained.
