Scrap yard fined £20,000 by Environment Agency

A scrap yard in Bishops Waltham has been fined £20,000 after they put local ground water at risk by not storing their materials properly.

Environment Agency officers visited Dase Engineering Limited on several occasions after concerns were raised by local residents.

The company has apologised and said 'the offences were not deliberate but negligent and we have spent £15,000 on updating our Working Plan'.
