A man who was given a life sentence for killing his ex-girlfriend, tried to get his murder conviction overturned today.
He was handed a life sentence for murdering his girlfriend and, today, judges ruled that Elliott Turner will remain in prison despite an appeal against his conviction. The 21-year-old strangled Emily Longley in a jealous rage at his home in Bournemouth in 2011.
His parents were also jailed for trying to help cover up the crime. Kate Bunkall was at the Court of Appeal today. She spoke to Emily's father Mark Longley and her Grandfather Ron Longley.
