Joanne is Britain's youngest ever Paralympian after swimming at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics where she won two Gold medals and three silvers aged just twelve.
Joanne is now a volunteer at the local leisure centre where she gives up her free time to develop the swimming and lifesaving skills of the youngsters in the area,
Joanne does all this in spite of her physical disability and ongoing health issues.

Torchbearer Keith Leech had a surprise in store for the audience when he lit the cauldron at the end of Day 60 of the Torch Relay.
The Olympic Torch will arrive in Sussex for the first time today starting in Rogate before finishing in Brighton & Hove this evening.
