Body discovered in woodland

Police investigating the disappearance of a man from his Portsmouth home have discovered a body.

Nicholas Sherwood, 38, went missing on Sunday morning.

A body was discovered in woodland on Scott Road this afternoon. The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Formal identification procedures are still taking place.

Officers are keeping his family informed.
