Police are issuing CCTV stills of the suspects involved in the theft of £10,000 worth of cigarettes from a Southampton shop.
The Co-op store on Bassett Green Road was broken into at approximately 2.30am, Monday, January 5.
The front door of the premises was forced and approximately £10,000 of cigarettes was stolen.
Four men were seen leaving the scene in a Mitsubishi vehicle. One was seen running off down a side street.
Though the suspects faces are hidden, it may well be that someone recognises their distinct clothing. Police are describing them as follows:
slim/med build, wearing a dark blue hooded top with a white stripe down the side, dark trainers and gloves
large build, wearing a dark blue hooded top with a blue Adidasbaseball cap underneath, cream coloured tracksuit bottoms with three stripesand an Adidas flower at the bottom of the left leg
medium build, wearing a black hooded top, possibly leather orwaterproof, blue tracksuit bottoms, black Nike trainers with a white Niketick
wearing a blue and grey hooded top, blue tracksuit bottoms withwhite stripes down the side and gloves with red on them and dark trainers
medium build, wearing a cream top and a grey balaclava, darkbottoms and lighter trainers
Police have identified a sixth man who entered the store after the first five suspects left and is seen taking further packets of cigarettes.
