Back in charge - Sir John on Royals' footballing future

After months of rumour and speculation about what is going on behind the scenes at Reading Football club - the side's chairman Sir John Madejski has broken his silence and told fans that he is still in charge!

Fifty-one percent of the club was sold to businessman Anton Zingarevich, back in May 2012. One of the Russian billionaire's most controversial decisions was sacking Brian McDermott who had overseen the Royals promotion to the Premier League.

In his first major television interview this year, Sir John discussed the Royals' future with ITV Meridian's Fred Dinenage and Sangeeta Bhabra.
