Investigation into walkway death continues
An investigation is underway into the death of an 82-year-old man whose mobility scooter fell from a walkway while he was riding it. He dropped 12 feet after falling through a glass wall in Fareham on Thursday 20 September at around three o'clock in the afternoon.
The man had just paid a visit to Fareham Health Centre on Osborn Road.

An 82 year old man has died in Hampshire after his mobility scooter crashed through a glass wall and fell 12 feet.
It happened at Fareham Health Centre on Osborn Road this afternoon.
DS Fiona Wright from Fareham CID said: “The man had exited the building through the double doors. His mobility scooter then went through the glass wall of the walkway. Sadly, he fell to the ground and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or who can help with our enquiries.”
