Police have named a man who was killed on a level crossing in Berkshire yesterday
David Montague, 45 from Woodley, Reading, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was struck by a train. His Silver Piaggio scooter was recovered from the crossing at Ufton Nervet.
One dead in train crash
A train accident in Berkshire - at the scene of an unmanned level crossing - has left one person dead.
It happened at Ufton Nervet, near Reading, when a scooter rider was hit by a train earlier today. There have been calls to make the crossing safer, with signal operated barriers.

British Transport Police are now on the scene.
There are delays on First Great Western trains between Newbury and Reading, Westbury and Reading, and Taunton and Reading.
A replacement bus service is being arranged. There is currently no rail or bus service between Newbury and Reading. A limited train service is running between Newbury and Bedwyn.
