Fire crews tackling large hotel fire on seafront

Firefighters are currently at the scene of a large fire which broke out at a hotel on Sandown seafront on the Isle of Wight.

Thick plumes of black smoke can be seen billowing above the hotel. It's believed the blaze broke out at the Tarvic2 Hotel on Culver Parade, and there are reports it has spread to the nearby St Moritz Hotel

Hampshire Constabulary and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are also on scene and are warning people to avoid the area.
