How do we provide affordable homes quickly?
All this week we're running a special series looking at housing in the UK. Across ITV regions and nations our series 'Where's Home?' is throwing a spotlight on a range of issues from renting, to social housing, to those who just can't afford to get on the property ladder.
But how do we provide more affordable homes quickly? Christine Alsford goes to meet the residents of a village made of shipping containers being used by Reading Borough Council as an alternative to temporary accommodation.
"We don't feel like we're homeless," says Yazmin Williams. "It's just like Center Parcs."
Christine also spoke to the Conservative leader of Winchester City Council, Cllr Caroline Horrill, and friends Guy Mayhew and Martyn Holmes who are building their own three bed semis in Brighton after setting up a housing co-operative.
