Five teenagers jailed for total of 88 years for the murder of Kyle Yule
Five teenagers have been jailed for a total of 88 years for the murder of Kyle Yule in Kent.
Victor Maibvisira (known as Vee), Ephrain Akinwunmi-Streets, Tyler Ralph, Shezakia Daley and Jordan Dania, all aged between 16 and 19, beat and stabbed the 17 year old to death on East Street in October last year.
The five were found guilty of his murder and also guilty of committing violent disorder at Maidstone Crown Court.
The judge ruled Victor Maibvisira was the man who caused the fatal injury.
The court heard the attack was triggered by the theft of a bike and Maibvisira and the other four defendants had rounded on Kyle 'like vultures'.
Witnesses said that he had screamed for his mother and told 'Vee' that he had had enough.
Kyle suffered five stab wounds and was left with blunt force injuries.
He died on the operating table at the Medway Maritime Hospital in the early hours of the 7th October, the day following the attack.
The court was told that Kyle Yule died from a stab wound to his right armpit which cut a large blood vessel.
In court, Kyle's mum broke down in tears saying she'll never be the same again.
