Dramatic pictures as fire breaks out in town centre restaurant
Firefighters in West Sussex have prevented a restaurant blaze spreading to other properties on a popular shopping street in Horsham.
They were called to East Street just after 3am after smoke was seen billowing from the two storey Cote restaurant.
Eight appliances attended, including an aerial unit, as flames spread to the roof of the building.
The fire was extinguished by 7.15 this morning.
No one was injured in the blaze, and the cause is being investigated.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said the first floor was damaged from fire and heat, and the roof was completely destroyed.
