Man taken to hospital after major house fire
A man has been taken to hospital after a major fire at a home in the village of Itchingfield, West Sussex.
Fire crews were called at half past midnight to reports of a roof fire at the heritage property in Horsham.
Two adults, three children and five dogs escaped and were outside the house when firefighters arrived.
The top floor and roof of the building have been destroyed. Fire crews are still at the scene in Bashurst Hill and the road is currently closed in both directions at the A264 Five Oaks Road junction.
