Report reveals people forced to cut back on heating to pay mortgage
More than 1.2 million people in the South are being forced to cut back on winter essentials such as heating and clothing to pay their rent or mortgage.
New research by the charity Shelter also shows that one in ten fear they will be unable to meet their housing payments this month.
The organisation says a lack of affordable housing and rising living costs has led to one hundred thousand people seeking advice from it's helpline
