Rail disruption: First Great Western
First Great Western have issued the following advice - more can be found on their website here
The current weather forecast for Monday 28th October 2013 indicates that much of southern and south west England will be subject to strong winds overnight from Sunday 27th October 2013 into the early afternoon of Monday 28th October. Current forecasts suggest that winds will gust in excess of 70mph across the area for a sustained period of time.
As a consequence of this a number of speed restrictions will be imposed by Network Rail during the morning.
These will apply as follows:
Services between Castle Cary and Weymouth and Warminster and Portsmouth, until 10:00
Services between Penzance and Taunton, until 06:00
Services between Taunton, Bristol Temple Meads, Cheltenham Spa, Westbury and Swindon, until 08:00
Services between Swindon, Westbury, Oxford and London Paddington until 10:00
Services between Guildford and Gatwick Airport will not operate until 09:00 at the earliest
