Man stabbed after pub argument over football

Merton Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed outside a pub in Mitcham yesterday evening.

The victim, who's 31, was taken to hospital after being attacked outside the King's Arms on London Road. He is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

The police believe the stabbing occurred following an argument about a game of football at the pub. They said there was a number of witnesses who they want to come forward.
